The SC-PFC series consists of capacitor banks with static contactors (thyristors) and reactance. These equipments allow a quick reactive compensation and are very suitable for fast and/or dynamic loads (welding, CNC, elevators, air conditioning, offices, etc).
Furthermore, by incorporating reactors in series can compensate reactive power in networks with high harmonic content, where there is a risk of resonance, blocking the injection of harmonics to capacitor and avoiding risks of overcurrent and overvoltage by resonances. The connection and disconnection of capacitor banks is produced when the current crosses zero in each phase. In this way damaging spikes and transients for capacitors are avoided. Highlights:
